Sultan Hanafi Royal Schools was built on a single conviction: that a child raised well in both faith and scholarship will want for neither. As Chairman of the Board of Governors and Head of Schools, I hold our staff and our five institutions to that standard every day, in a school that welcomes Muslims and non-Muslims, sons and daughters, alike.

What Distinguishes Us

The Nigerian national curriculum and a full Islamic and Arabic formation are taught side by side, by one staff, to one standard — not as a school with religious classes attached, but as a single education. Muslims and non-Muslims, sons and daughters, are admitted alike.

The IslamiyyahEvery credential the school issues can be checked by anybody holding it, at a public address, without telephoning the office. Governance papers, policies and the notice archive are published rather than furnished on request.

Our Schools
Five schools, one board, one standard. A family can begin with us at two years old and stay through secondary examinations and complete Qur'an memorisation without ever leaving the campus — or join us at any point along the way.
Where a child learns to read and to pray in the same week. The Nigerian curriculum runs alongside daily Islamic character formation — not as two timetables competing for attention, but as one upbringing. Led by Head Teacher Mrs. Kareemat Abdurazaq.
Seven academic departments, a full WAEC and NECO pathway, and dedicated biology and chemistry laboratories — with Islamic & Arabic Sciences sitting as a department in its own right, taught with the same seriousness as the sciences.
Open to the whole community, not only to enrolled pupils — adults included. Arabic to real proficiency and Islamic studies on the Saudi curriculum, on a weekday and weekend timetable that fits around work and school. No standard admission process required. Led by Principal Shaykh Abubakr Solah.
Complete memorisation of the Qur'an, with Tajwīd mastery, carried through to Ijazah certification — typically in twenty-four to thirty-six months, boarding or day. Led by Imam Ahmad Sulaimiy.
The fifth institution, constituted under the office of the Head of Schools / Administrator to carry Sultan Hanafi teaching beyond Ikorodu. Its programme, curriculum and faculty are published upon adoption by that office.
One Campus, One Road
Two of our institutions are governed by age. Three are not — they are governed by readiness, and take a pupil, or an adult, at whatever stage they arrive. A family may join at any point on the road below and stay for as much of it as they wish.

Institutional Authority
No single person decides how this school is run. A board of trustees holds the institution to account, and an executive team drawn from finance, education, and Islamic scholarship carries out its direction — with published policies, a standing notice archive, and a strategic plan any parent may read.
Most parents have confirmed that the values and morals the school instils in our children are worth more than the money we pay. I would recommend the school to anybody.
Admission
Five stages, twelve steps, one account. Every step is tracked in your own parent portal, so you always know exactly where your child's application stands — and you never have to telephone to ask.

A day or twoOpen a parent account, complete the application, and upload your child's birth certificate, photographs, and previous school reports.
About 20 minutesAn entrance examination and a short interview, pitched to your child's age. For the youngest it is a gentle morning of play and observation.
One scheduled visitA written offer into the qualifying class, with the result explained to you in person if you would like it to be.
Within two weeksFees settled, admission letter issued with the number your child keeps for their whole time here, class ticket, uniform, and a first day they are expected on.

Every picture below was made on this campus — a class in session, a laboratory bench laid out for the practical, the morning prayer hall, a medal won abroad, a building opened. What a school looks like on an ordinary day is the truest thing it can publish about itself.
Get Involved
The school was never meant to stop at its own gates. The Foundation — a non-profit, non-political body founded by Dr. Zakariya Olanrewaju Anofi and Mallam Lukman Ayinla Anofi — carries the same work into the wider community: teaching people to read, building and maintaining mosques, and standing behind families through education, medical need, and honest economic footing.

Yes. Sultan Hanafi Royal Schools welcomes Muslims and non-Muslims, sons and daughters, alike. The Islamic formation is part of the school's character and is taught to every pupil as part of their upbringing here; no family is asked to profess anything in order to be admitted.
Yes, at the School of Islamic and Arabic Studies, which is open to the wider community rather than to enrolled pupils only, and which runs on a weekday and weekend timetable built to fit around work. It does not require the standard admission process. See the Islamiyyah →
