The Boarding Life Centre
Boarding at Sultan Hanafi is a house rather than a dormitory. A boarder shares a room, keeps a timetable of prep and rest, and lives under the same staff who teach them by day. The Centre is governed by SD-04, the school’s Boarding Regulations, which any parent may read in full before deciding anything.
What boarding adds to the school day is time: supervised prep and additional academic support in the evening, the campus facilities open beyond the timetable, and after class the Islamic lectures and the admonitions that follow Salah. What it asks in return is that a boarder keep the hours of the house.
Boarders share meals together in a home-like dining setting, part of the daily rhythm of life on the boarding campus.

The Daily Routine
A structured schedule published to guardians, not left to vary informally — covering wake time, prayer, meals, study, memorisation, and rest.

Never Left Unsupervised
Continuous Overnight Supervision
Boarding supervision is continuous — there is no unsupervised overnight period, even during sleeping hours. A room check is conducted at lights-out and at least once more during the night, logged by name and time, with at least one warden awake and present in each boarding house overnight and a second reachable within the site.
The Same Standard, Around the Clock
The staff-student contact rules in the Child Protection & Safeguarding Policy apply in full to boarding staff. A new boarding student's first weeks receive additional pastoral check-ins beyond the standard routine, and any safety incident, illness beyond minor first aid, or substantive disciplinary matter is communicated to the guardian the same day.

Leave-Out & Staying Connected
Every Departure, Logged and Authorised
A boarding student leaves the premises only with prior guardian authorisation, logged by the boarding warden. Guardians are entitled to request a call with the boarding warden within a reasonable response window — boarding is a partnership with the family, not a handover.
Frequently Asked Questions
Boarding is available to Royal College and Qur'an College students aged 9 to 16. Full boarding runs Monday to Sunday; half boarding runs Monday to Friday. Other arrangements can be discussed with the school based on family schedule and budget.
Full boarding students remain on campus the whole week, including weekends. Half boarding students board Monday to Friday and return home for the weekend.
