IV — Day & Boarding · 24–36 Month Programme

Qur'an College

Established to provide a platform where students from all walks of life spend an average of 24 to 36 months completing memorisation of the Qur'an, alongside the science of the Qur'an, Arabiyyah language, and other Islamic knowledge and good morals — culminating in standard Ijazaat (licences/certifications) upon completion, under Principal Imam Ahmad Sulaimiy.

Most Qur'an College students board on campus for the duration of the programme — see the Boarding Facility chapter for eligibility and arrangements.

The Hifz Journey

Stage 1

Memorisation & Muraja'ah

New memorisation paired with scheduled revision; a weekly check verifies retention.

Stage 2

Progression Through the 30 Juz'

Pace-based, not time-based, across the 24–36 month programme.

Stage 3

Completion Standard

All 30 Juz' memorised, retention verified, Tajweed confirmed.

Stage 4

Ijazah Examination

The Principal puts the student forward for examination by named scholars.

Stage 5

Ijazah Granted

Certified, signed, and permanently recorded in the register.

Governed by the Hifz Regulations and Ijazah Governance Framework.

Subjects & Textbooks

Each institution's own chapter above sets out the class levels it teaches and the subjects taught in them, and the syllabus for any year group is issued to its families in full at the start of term. See also our Faculty Directory for the educators teaching them.

Islamic & Qur'anic Studies

Our Islamiyyah School and Qur'an College adopt the Saudi Arabian educational curriculum, with Saudi-approved textbooks. Extra-curricular activities span sports & games, debate, and Islamic arts & culture.

A Mixed Curriculum Practice

The Royal College and Basic School adopt the Nigerian National Curriculum for the secular programme, infused with entrepreneurial skills, financial intelligence, leadership, broad-based technology, personal development, career planning, and work-ready elective subjects.

Students present what they have memorised in a formal recitation setting — the visible, public-facing counterpart to the daily memorisation and Muraja'ah described in the Hifz Regulations.

The Ijazah is a licence to teach what has been learnt, granted by scholars who have heard the student recite. It is handed over in front of the family, the faculty and the guests, because a thing certified privately is only a document — and what is being marked here took a child between two and three years.
