To Every Parent Who Believes

You are not choosing a school. You are choosing who your child is permitted to become.

Every fact in this edition is real. Every milestone has already happened. What follows is not a promise of what Sultan Hanafi might one day offer — it is an account, told with the reverence it deserves, of the leaders, scholars, and Huffaz this institution has already begun forming.

“Most of us parents have confirmed that the values and morals the school instils in our children are worth far more than the fees we pay.”

What We See When We See a Student

Zakariya Olanrewaju Anofi

We do not see a child arriving at Sultan Hanafi as a blank page. We see a future scholar, a future leader, a future Hafiz — someone already carrying the raw material of who they are called to become, waiting for the right formation to draw it out.

That is the conviction behind every decision this institution makes: from the teachers we recruit, to the framework we mentor by, to the standard we hold every child to, regardless of where they started.

“Together, let us embark on a journey where every child discovers not only what they know, but who they are called to become.”

Zakariya Olanrewaju Anofi · Founder & Head of Schools/Administrator

Scholarship Beyond the Qur’an College

Running alongside every other stage of a student's journey, School of Islamic and Arabic Studies builds authentic Islamic learning and structured Arabic language acquisition — open to students beyond the Qur’an College's weekday track, through both weekday and weekend programmes.

Every year, Qur’an College students take part in a Ramadan Qur’an Competition at the Royal College Auditorium, a tradition established in 2024 — the annual moment this scholarship is put on public display.

“Allah will raise those who have believed among you and those who were given knowledge, by degrees.”

By 2026, the Royal College had achieved Ministry Registration with the Lagos State Ministry of Education and seen its first cohort sit the Basic Education Certificate Examination — a milestone every student in that cohort now carries with them.

“Sultan Hanafi Royal Schools stands as a blueprint for how education can be a vehicle for transformative social change within marginalised communities.”

Punch Newspaper · November 2025

In 2025, Sultan Hanafi Royal Schools was commissioned by Engr. Seyi Makinde, Executive Governor of Oyo State — a distinguished endorsement of an institution rooted equally in Qur’anic scholarship and secular excellence.

A Parent's Aspiration

Told Best By Those Who Chose Us

“One thing I look out for in schools is the calibre of teachers they have. Most private schools don't employ quality teachers — but at SULTAN, in most of their recruitments they look for experienced educators with PhD, M.Sc., PGDE, or B.Sc. Education qualifications.”

Mr Waliy Ojewumi · Engineer · Parent Since 2018

“Since joining SULTAN, the improvement in my children's academic performance and character has been remarkable.”

Dr Ismail Akeem Seriki · Parent, Three Children Enrolled

The Five Pathways

One Vision, Five Ways to Reach It

Basic School

From age two, the foundation of faith and academic discipline, laid before a child ever sits a formal exam.

Royal College

Seven academic departments, JSS 1–3 and SSS 1–3, for students aged ten and above.

Qur’an College

A parallel track for full Hifz immersion, open to students aged nine to sixteen.

School of Islamic and Arabic Studies

Weekday and weekend programmes running alongside every other stage of the journey.

Online & Distance Learning School

Newly established in 2026 — a fifth institution just taking shape, with headship not yet appointed and no students or curriculum yet.

“Open to Muslims and non-Muslims, males and females” — a welcome stated plainly, not a marketing gesture.

Where Character Meets Craft

The Ordinary Joys of an Extraordinary Formation

Games and recreation
Technology workshop

Spelling competitions, recreation periods, and hands-on technology workshops give students room to compete, build, and simply be children — the ordinary joy that makes formation feel less like instruction and more like belonging.

Inter-class spelling competitions turn vocabulary into a spectator sport; Basic Technology Workshops give younger students hands-on building and problem-solving, part of the practical curriculum long before it becomes an exam subject.

Where Character Meets Craft14
Beyond Graduation

A Formation That Outlasts the Classroom

A Sultan Hanafi Ijazah is a certified, permanently recorded credential — verifiable years after graduation, wherever a student's path leads next. BECE, WAEC, and NECO examinations mark the culmination of the Royal College years; for Qur’an College students, the Ijazah marks a different but equally permanent achievement.

What a student carries out of Sultan Hanafi is not only a certificate. It is a character formed under a standard — the one this entire edition has attempted to make visible.
